It’s finally Friday!! Another work week in the books. Lots of great action to come. Here is the top hockey news for Friday, January 18th. Today’s stories include: Toronto gets a big win, Jets and Predators duel in the Central, Ducks end winless streak, Wild pull off trade with Carolina, Jarome Iginla to have number retired, Islanders are contenders now, and NHL gives coaches a new tool.


Top hockey news for Friday, January 18th

In a gigantic tilt in the Atlantic Division, as Toronto gain confidence in win over Tampa Bay.

In a battle of heavyweights in the Central Division, it was the Winnipeg Jets dominating the Nashville Predators.

After pulling off some trades, Anaheim ends their 12-games losing streak.

The Calgary will will retire Jaromee Iginla’s Number 12 in a game in March.

It’s been a week of trades in the NHL, Carolina and Minnesota make a hockey move as Nino Niederreiter and Victor Rask trades places.

Barry Trotz got his team playing the right way, as the Islanders are contenders now.

The game of hockey keeps changing so does the coaching techniques. The NHL announced Thursday, there is a new app for coaching analytics for Ipdas.
