BHN Puck Links: Bruins Marchand With Perfect New Year’s Resolution
The Boston Bruins had a wide range of New Year’s Resolutions when asked about them over the last couple of days.
Most involved self-improvement like Boston Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy, who said he’s at an age where he’s watching his weight to make sure he remains in good health watching his young kids grow up. He’s got a lot of company in that regard as I shared with the B’s bench boss during Saturday morning’s zoom media session ahead of their matinee OT win over the Buffalo Sabres.
I asked Bruce Cassidy what his New Year’s Resolution was for 2022: “Getting to be my age, I’ve got to watch my weight.” I confirmed with Butchie that my plan was also “to mix in a few more salads this year.” Here’s to unbridled optimism for a brand spanking new year pic.twitter.com/ngYSqdff1g

But Brad Marchand, unsurprisingly, had the perfect New Year’s resolution when several players participated in a video played on the jumbotron during Saturday’s matinee at TD Garden.
There’s one way to handle it when someone asks you if you have a New Year’s Resolution.

“I don’t have one…I’m perfect,” said Marchand.
With points in all but four games that he’s suited up for with the Black and Gold this season, Marchand can certainly make that case.
Happy New Year, everybody!

*Pretty sweet company with the TNT crew mixing it up with the “Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar after he won the WWF title at Day 1 on Saturday night as well. Lesnar is a big time hockey fan that gets to his share of Winnipeg Jets games.
