Bruins Announce Preseason Broadcast Schedule
The Boston Bruins will be back on television and the radio waves in two nights. The club announced on Tuesday that NESN will air four preseason games in the next two weeks. 98.5 The Sports Hub, the flagship station of the Bruins, will also air four games on their airwaves. For those outside of the Boston market, the Bruins will be shown live on NHL Network three times in the next two weeks.
The first game on NESN and 98.5 The Sports Hub will be on Thursday night when the Bruins visit Philadelphia. That game will also air on NHL Network live at 7:00 pm. It’s the first of two meetings this preseason between the rivals, who meet next Monday night at TD Garden. That game will also be on 98.5 The Sports Hub, and will air live on NESNPlus and NHL Network.
The final two games of the preseason will both air on NESNPlus with radio coverage on 98.5 The Sports Hub. First, the Bruins play host to the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday, September 25th. That game will be a rematch of last night’s preseason opener, won 4-3 by the Devils. The Chicago Blackhawks visit to Boston on Saturday, September 28th will also air live, with puck drop at 3:00 pm. That game can be seen on NHL Network.
All NHL Network broadcasts will be blacked out in the Boston market, per the club’s release. NESN will take the NBC Sports Philadelphia broadcast feed for Thursday’s preseason game, while Jack Edwards and Andy Brickley will have the call on Monday night. NESN’s feed will air on NBC Sports Philadelphia on that night.
The Bruins open their regular season on Thursday, October 3rd when they visit the Dallas Stars.
