BHN Exclusive: Bruins Asked Krug, Coyle to be Leadership Core (BHN+)
In June after the Boston Bruins departed for the summer while licking their wounds from the crushing Game 7 Stanley Cup Final loss, the organization made a few affirmations clear to Charlie Coyle and Torey Krug. The Bruins made placed the honor and burdens of leadership upon each and asked each to be key members of the team’s future leadership core.
NHL sources told Boston Hockey Now Bruins general manager Don Sweeney imparted his hopes to Coyle and Krug in their exit interviews. Sweeney has also made sure any teams inquiring about either player know Krug and Coyle are not currently not available.
