As the summer starts to wind down, everyone is slowly getting back into hockey mode. The good folks of Burlington, Vermont jumped right back into hockey on Sunday when the Bruins Fan Fest hit town. The event brought current and former players along with media to town and included the club’s ‘Learn To Play’ program. Here’s that and the top stories from around the hockey world on Tuesday, August 20th.

The Boston Bruins annual Fan Fest continued over the weekend, making a stop in Vermont on Sunday. NESN personalities Jack Edwards and Andy Brickley, along with Trent Frederic, Zach Senyshyn and former fan-favorite PJ Stock were in attendance. One of the biggest stories of the summer was Sebastian Aho and the Montreal Canadiens coming to terms on an offer sheet on July 1st. The Carolina Hurricanes quickly matched the offer, keeping their star forward under contract. We’ve heard from both Montreal and Carolina, but not Aho himself. That changed on Monday. (Sportsnet)
