BOSTON – One could tell by the glowing endorsements for new Boston Bruins defenseman Hampus Lindholm that the team was excited to nab him at the NHL trade deadline.

“It was nasty. It was amazing,” said David Pastrnak, of watching Lindholm do his work in the Boston Bruins 3-2 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning while No. 88 scored his 12th career hat trick. “Obviously it’s not easy to come to a new team, usually it would take a couple games to learn the system. The way our D’s playing overall, and the structure, he was amazing. It was a lot of fun to watch. Real exciting to have him. He’s a great guy. I know him a little bit from Sweden. We’re really happy to have him.”

Brad Marchand focused on some of the Swedish defenseman’s other qualities when asked him after Thursday’s morning skate.
