Source On Bruins’ Urho Vaakanainen: ‘They’re Trying To Move Him’ | BHN+

Could Urho Vaakanainen, a top blue line prospect for the Boston Bruins, be on the move soon?

The Bruins are in a tough spot. They are going to have to give up something to get something, and many around the NHL believe they still have one more desperately needed big move to make ahead of the start of the upcoming NHL regular season. To simply re-sign restricted free agent winger Jake DeBrusk isn’t going to move the needle very much when it comes to fan expectations, and just adding Zdeno Chara to the mix on a one-year deal would give off the impression from the B’s front office that last season’s second round exit was good enough.

There is absolutely pressure on Bruins GM Don Sweeney to pull off something like the Oliver Ekman-Larsson deal that faded away with the advent of NHL free agency, and the Boston Bruins general manager is going to have give up something to get something for the back end.
