BHN Daily Links: Alex Petrovic To Get PTO, Marner Contract Talks Status Quo

The first weekend of August is in the books and so too are the arbitration hearings in the NHL. As reported yesterday the Buffalo Sabres were able to re-sign Linus Ullmark to a new deal. He was not the only player that got a new contract. Defenseman Jake McCabe also inked a new deal. Also making the news today is a BHN Exclusive from our own Alex Thomas. The Buffalo Sabres continued their busy off-season as they kept a member of their blue-line. Defense Jake McCabe who was looking for a pay raise had to settle for a two-year deal that will pay him $2.8 million a season. (BuffaloHockeyBeat.com)

As the Bruins prepare for potential holdouts to start the season, Alex Thomas of Boston Hockey Now was able to report that the Bruins have offered defenseman Alex Petrovic a Professional Tryout Contract. (Boston Hockey Now)
