BHN Puck Links: The Biggest Boston Bruins Fan Of Them All?

Published

Boston Bruins

There are Boston Bruins fans, there are intense Boston Bruins fans and there is perhaps the greatest Boston Bruins fan of all time, Jillian Murphy. Just check out her video showing off her Boston Bruins fan bona fides and then go ahead and try to convince she’s not in the top echelon of B’s fans.

I also agree that the Boston Bruins should think about hiring her as a Professional Fan, even though I’m not sure there is actually such a thing. Keep it up, Jill!

Now on to the BHN Puck Links:

*Tuukka Rask was spotted working out on the ice at Warrior Ice Arena ahead of Boston Bruins practice, a sight that really begins to make things interesting as far as what the future holds for the B’s goaltending situation. I don’t think they’re going to be able to move Linus Ullmark and nobody wants to see Jeremy Swayman moved down to the AHL. So what are they going to do? (Boston Hockey Now)

*Is now the time to fire Colorado Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar? The boys out in Colorado say, resoundingly, “No way!” (Colorado Hockey Now)

*Old friend Milan Lucic is off to a hot start in Calgary, showing that there is most definitely gas still left in his tank. (Calgary Hockey Now)

*Tough night for the Florida Panthers as they fell down 4-0 to the New York Rangers and couldn’t come back in their first regulation loss of the season. (Florida Hockey Now)

*Speaking of the Panthers, are they the NHL’s best team right now? It certainly looks and feels that way. (Pucks with Haggs)

*Congrats to Alex Ovechkin moving into a fourth-place tie with Brett Hull on the NHL’s all-time goal scoring list as he keeps marching toward Wayne Gretzky in the top spot. (The Athletic)

*Good for the Pittsburgh Penguins supporting the female high school goaltender that was harassed by an out-of-control, abusive crowd of kids at a game last week. (NHL.com)

*The interview with the mother of John Doe 2, the high school kid that was sexually assaulted by Brad Aldrich, is heartbreaking and makes you even angrier about the inaction from the Chicago Blackhawks when they could have prevented it all. Shame on all of them. (TSN)

*For something completely different: In a completely self-indulgent post, check out this goal that 8-year-old Finn Haggerty scored for the Junior Bruins 2013’s over the weekend. That is going to stay pinned on his proud dad’s twitter account for a while.
