Boston Bruins Announce Training Camp Roster

The Boston Bruins will report for training camp later today at Warrior Ice Arena. The club announced the roster for camp late on Wednesday and they will now prepare for the 2019-20 NHL regular season. The team will speak with the media on Thursday afternoon but will not begin practices until Friday.

In addition to the expected players, the Bruins have a number of players participating in training camp on AHL contracts and professional tryouts. That includes veteran defender Alex Petrovic, whose PTO was first reported by Boston Hockey Now in August.

Forwards

Samuel Asselin*, David Backes, Patrice Bergeron, Anders Bjork, Anton Blidh, Paul Carey, Peter Cehlarik, Charlie Coyle, Jake DeBrusk, Ryan Fitzgerald, Trent Frederic, Brendan Gaunce, Danton Heinen, Cameron Hughes, Joona Koppanen, David Krejci, Karson Kuhlman, Sean Kuraly, Robert Lantosi*, Jakub Lauko, Par Lindholm, Brad Marchand, Joakim Nordstrom, David Pastrnak, Brett Ritchie, Zach Senyshyn, Pavel Shen, Oskar Steen, Jack Studnicka, Chris Wager, Brandon Woods*

The Bruins will not have a professional tryout agreement in camp at forward but invited three players on AHL contracts. Those deals belong to Asselin, Lantosi, and Woods.

Defensemen

Axel Andersson, Chris Breen*, Zdeno Chara, Conor Clifton, Josiah Didier*, Matt Grzelcyk, Steven Kampfer, Torey Krug, Jeremy Lauzon, Kevan Miller, John Moore, Alex Petrovic**, Wiley Sherman, Urho Vaakanainen, Jakub Zboril, Cooper Zech*

Zech, Didier, and the veteran Breen will all attend camp on AHL contracts, while Petrovic is the lone tryout. John Moore will be out for the duration of camp with a shoulder injury, while Miller is working his way back from a knee injury suffered late last season.

Noticeably not listed? Brandon Carlo and Charlie McAvoy. Both are currently still unsigned.

Goaltenders

Jaroslav Halak, Kyle Keyser, Maxime Legace, Tuukka Rask, Dan Vlader

The Bruins will kick off the preseason on Monday night when they travel to New Jersey to take on the Devils. The 2019-20 regular season opens October 3rd at Dallas.
