Bruins Wrap: No Giroux For Bruins; What About Chychrun?
The NHL trade market intensified Friday but the Boston Bruins lost out on a trade target.
Should the Bruins go all-in on a top-four defenseman before the trade deadline Monday?
That and all the latest NHL trade rumors in the latest Bruins Wrap:
Boston Bruins
The biggest name on the NHL Trade market right now, Claude Giroux, didn’t want to be traded to the Boston Bruins.
So, as my partner-in-scribe wrote Friday, how obvious can it be that a top defenseman needs to be the primary target ahead of Monday’s NHL Trade Deadline? Is Arizona Coyotes defenseman Jakob Chychrun the target?
National Hockey Now
Philly: As of Friday afternoon, the Florida Panthers, as well as any other NHL team interested in Claude Giroux were not close to acquiring him.
NYI: How lucky are New York Islanders and New York Rangers fans to have a goaltending duel like Ilya Sorokin and Igor Shesterkin for years to come?
Washington: Capitals forward T.J. Oshie is hurt again.
Florida: While no trade is close, Florida Panthers fans are pining for Claude Giroux ahead of the NHL Trade Deadline.
Detroit: The NHL trade chatter surrounding Detroit Red Wings forward Tyler Bertuzzi is getting louder.
Colorado: Don’t count the Colorado Avalanche out on Claude Giroux just yet.
Vegas: With Robin Lehner’s status up in the air at best, are the Vegas Golden Knights interested in Islanders goalie Semyon Varlamov?
Canada Hockey Now
Montreal: See below because the Montreal Canadiens may be able to name their price for Artturi Lehkonen on the trade market.
Calgary: Are the Calgary Flames done already or will they make another trade before the NHL Trade Deadline?

As mentioned above, the price for Lehkonen went up Friday thanks to the Tampa Bay Lightning acquiring Brandon Hagel and two fourth-round picks from the Chicago Blackhawks for two first-round picks and two prospects.
The Nashville Predators are trying to lock forward Fillip Forsberg up ahead of the Trade Deadline.
