Bruins Wrap: A Chara-Bruins Reunion? Bruins, NHL Trade Rumors

Boston Bruins

The Boston Bruins need a rugged defenseman and their former captain Zdeno Chara is on the NHL trade market. They wouldn’t, would they?

Will the Montreal Canadiens trade Josh Anderson or will he become a candidate to become the next captain of the storied franchise?

That and more in the latest Bruins Wrap:

Boston Bruins

The Boston Bruins exacted revenge for a 3-2 overtime loss in Denver on Jan. 26 and absolutely dominated the Colorado Avalanche Monday in a 5-1 win at TD Garden. The Bruins now head on the road for a six-game roadie out west.

Could the Detroit Red Wings be a dance partner for the Boston Bruins on the NHL trade market?

National Hockey Now

NYI: Former Bruins captain Zdeno Chara is on the NHL trade market as the Isles try to move him to a Stanley Cup contender for one last shot at another Cup? Could a reunion with the Bruins make sense?

Philly: Good and inspiring piece on former NHL enforcer Donald Brashear by our man in Philly, Sam Carchidi, on Donald Brashear.

Pittsburgh: The countdown is on until the NHL trade deadline and Dan Kingerski looks at whom the Pittsburgh Penguins could be in on.

Florida: They may not play in front of packed houses at FLA Live Arena but the Florida Panthers are almost unbeatable on home ice.

Detroit: Could the Detroit Red Wings actually catch the Bruins in the standings?

San Jose: The San Jose Sharks snagged forward Ryan Dzingel off waivers from the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Montreal: Instead of listening to offers for Josh Anderson on the NHL Trade market, should the Montreal Canadiens consider making the rugged goal scorer their next captain?

The Toronto Maple Leafs could be without defenseman Jake Muzzin for a bit after a scary collision with Montreal Canadiens defenseman Chris Wideman knocked him out of the game Monday night in Montreal. Will this intensify their search for blue line help on the NHL trade market?

The purge continued with the Chicago Blackhawks as they parted ways with hall of famer Bobby Hull as a team ambassador.

Get Chara! The game against the Avalanche was the best all around effort by the Bruins in 2021/2022 year. The good players Hall, Coyle, Pasta,Smith, DeBrusk, MacAvoy, Swayman were all excellent. Back checking payed off; good breakouts, best team effort this season! Fun to watch!

Bring Chara back/ let him retire/ appoint him BB President.

Hey, there are still trades to be made. Last time it brought us Hall and who knows what we can get this time. Also Bruins are good when playing against other good teams (well I guess with the exception of canes)

Horrific officiating aided Boston against Colorado. There were atleast 4 no calls and the refs finally gave the Avs a couple power plays when the game was out of hand. Boston is nowhere near the Avalanche talent wise , anyone arguing that never played the sport. Stop The Boston is so much better than Colorado noise, 1 reg season game where it was the 5th game in 9 days for the Avs and the refs heavily affected this game. Avs would smoke the Bruins in a series.
