Bruins Wrap: NHL Trade Rumors; Do Giroux And Fleury Make Sense?

Boston Bruins

The Boston Bruins are buyers on the NHL trade market and there are rumors they’re looking into Marc-Andre Fleury and Claude Giroux as playoff rentals.

Brad Marchand apologizes with a ‘sorry-but’ apology over his selfish actions that led to his six-game suspension.

Are the San Jose Sharks about to sign center Tomas Hertl to an extension?

That and more in the latest Bruins Wrap:

Boston Bruins

The Boston Bruins are definitely buyers on the NHL trade market still but should they be buyers on the playoff rental market as well?

Speaking of the NHL trade market, it appears more and more second-line center target for the Bruins, San Jose Sharks center Tomas Hertl, could be staying in San Jose.

In the DUH department, Brad Marchand thinks his rap sheet had something to do with his hefty suspension. Ya think? How about don’t act that way Brad when you know they’re watching you with a microscope and will come down harder on ya?

The Bruins will be without their captain Patrice Bergeron for a second straight game as he recovers from a head injury?

The Bruins brought Tuukka Rask back because they wanted a goalie with playoff experience when the postseason begins. If that’s still the goal, will they become players for Chicago Blackhawks goalie Marc-Andre Fleury on the NHL trade market?

Speaking of the Leafs, they signed back-up and former Boston College goalie Joseph Woll to an extension.

Staying with the Leafs for one more tidbit here, not a shocker to see that the tin-man and former Boston Bruins winger Ondrej Kase is injured again. For those in Toronto saying this was a dirty hit, pleeeeeezzzzzeeee!

Is this the fight of the season? Man, Anaheim Ducks enforcer Nicolas Deslauriers would look great in a Boston Bruins uniform!

Hard to believe Bergeron is not going to Ottawa. He really wants to be traded to Quebec or Montreal.

Scott

Funny just read wat Bergie said its Boston if not then retirement,#37.

PatchyFog

Fleur makes sense if the objective is to mess Swayman’s head up.

Bruins need to be a “Seller” not a “Buyer” . Start over.

We don’t need a damn goalie at all!!Maybe there’s something that was a knock on Claude not giving youth a chance crap?Is Cassidy actually like that?Debrusk and the other kid drafted by Sweeney want out? Or is it Don Sweeney because seems maybe both but Sweeney needs to be gone he continues to put undersized D on the ice??This team needs size and grit so our top players don’t get hurt or cheap shots by everyone and anyone in the playoffs!!Fluke Stanley cup they could’ve stole but Chara’s jaw broke and the top guys all had injuries like every playoff… Read more »
