Boston Bruins Bergeron Slated For Shot Accuracy Competition
With NHL All-Star weekend upon us, the Boston Bruins will be represented in the Friday night skills competition in Las Vegas at T-Mobile Arena that’s got a few pretty cool wrinkles this season. Bergeron and his family got the private jet treatment as they whisked their way out to Vegas a couple of days ago and now No. 37 will go to work this weekend as one of the NHL’s elder statesmen at the showpiece NHL All-Star Game event.

Patrice Bergeron has been tapped for the Honda NHL Accuracy Shooting contest, a category that Boston Bruins Hall of Famer Ray Bourque made his dominant event when he used to take part in NHL All-Star weekends back in the day.
No. 37 took part in the shooting accuracy competition at the 2015 NHL All-Star weekend as well. Here is the rest of Bergeron’s competition in the shooting accuracy during a busy night of skills competition taking place in the arena, and on the Vegas strip outside of the Vegas Golden Knights’ home rink:
Leon Draisaitl, EDM
Clayton Keller, ARI
Rasmus Dahlin, BUF
Sebastian Aho, CAR
Jake Guentzel, PIT
Troy Terry, ANA
Johnny Gaudreau, CGY
Patrice Bergeron, BOS
Jonathan Marchessault, VGK
There were rumors out there that former Boston Bruins captain Zdeno Chara was going to show up at NHL All-Star skills weekend to take part in the hardest shot competition he dominated during his multiple All-Star apppearances despite not being named to the All-Star team. But he was not among the four names announced (Adam Pelech, Timo Meier, Tom Wilson and Victor Hedman) to be taking part after reportedly declining the league’s invite to take part.
Brad Marchand will also be missing from NHL All-Star weekend after somehow not getting selected despite once again posting a Hart Trophy-worthy first half to the season.
