Published

Boston Bruins

The Boston Bruins dropped their second dud in less than two weeks. Should Bruins fans be worried?

Patrice Bergeron made it clear again that he’s not signing any extensions with the Boston Bruins until after the season, if at all.

Montreal Canadiens defenseman Jeff Petry reportedly ask for a trade back in December. This news comes as teams head off to their All-Star breaks, and the NHL trade chatter is really picking up. So could he and others around the NHL switch teams in the coming week?

That and more in the latest BHN Puck Links:

Since he returned from Michigan a few weeks back and left his family behind for the rest of the season, Montreal Canadiens defenseman Jeff Petry has played like someone who has checked out. On Saturday night, that was never more obvious as Petry didn’t do anything to stand up for his teammate Sam Montembeaut when Edmonton Oilers forward Zack Kassian barreled the Habs goalie over behind the net.

On Monday, TSN 690 host Tony Marinaro shed some light on the subject that may explain the way Petry has acted on and off the ice and reported that Petry asked for a trade in mid-December. (TSN 690)

sweeney, is going to keep pissing around, til debrusk has no value and walks for free, like so many others.
if bergy is not talking more positive on his future with bruins, are you def sweeney.
make a trade that makes sense to be competitive now..
if bergy walks at end of season, axe sweeney, scouts and sell assets, this has been a disaster.

This team will not make it by Florida and I mean both panthers and lighting in a 7 game series. We need jt Miller and a top four d or two if we even wanna sniff the 3rd or 2nd round. I love hula and yes pasta and hall cab play with anyone but if they had an elite center think of how dangerous this team would.be with two lines like that. All 4 lines need tk score agenst any line there agenst. Old hockey is dead. Two scoring lines and two shut down lines don’t work. Games to fast… Read more »

Losing Bergeron to Quebec will be a disaster without signing a replacement in kind like Jack Eichel.
