Boston Bruins

The Boston Bruins dropped a five-spot on the Montreal Canadiens again in a 5-1 win.

Tuukka Rask will get his first start of the season Thursday and have plenty of Bud Lights waiting for him if he shuts out the Philadelphia Flyers.

The NHL has put any Evander Kane signing on hold as it investigates how and why he crossed the border with COVID.

That and more in the latest BHN Puck Links:

Not that he’d be on the Habs’ radar heading into the trade deadline but if the Dallas Stars aren’t in the playoff race as the March 21 NHL trade deadline approaches, any team that is would be idiots not to inquire about Joe Pavelski. (TSN)

“Not so fast,” said the NHL to an Evander Kane signing on Wednesday, as they investigated why and how he recently crossed the border from the United States into Canada despite being COVID positive. (Sportsnet)

Joe Pavelski would be a great pick up for the Bruins in my opinion. How about him as the 2nd line center Hall, Pavelski and Pastrnak. He is still fast, tough, still score and playing at a high level. Dallas might just take a one for one player swap. He can kill penalties, play on the power play 2nd unit and take a regular shift. I’d be happy if the Bruins brought him in for a couple years. He has 15 goals 20 assists in 33 games. Fitting his $7 million contract under the cap is Sweeney’s problem. Lol.
