Boston Bruins

There has been plenty of talk surrounding the Boston Bruins depth at center since longtime Bruins center David Krejci went home to the Czech Republic last week.

Did Evgeni Malkin fight a teammate in the Pittsburgh Penguins dressing room?

How did Vancouver Canucks head coach Travis Green survive a vicious bout with COVID?

How will the Boston Bruins address the void left by Krejci in the second center slot on their depth chart? As reported here on Thursday, the Bruins will continue to explore a quieter NHL trade market and Arizona Coyotes center Christian Dvorak is still on their radar. (BHN)

For now, the plan for the Boston Bruins is to move center Charlie Coyle into Krejci’s spot and go from there. (BHN)

Like Motel 6, the Boston Bruins plan to leave the light on for a potential Krejci return and their trying to assure that Patrice Bergeron never leaves. (BHN)

Coyle huh? The guy who was moved to wing because he couldn’t hold on to the 3rd line center spot? They expect people in the arena to watch this nonsense?

Bruins fans are so clueless. Coyle is from the Boston area, so he gets a pass, even when he doesn’t score for two months. And now we’re to expect him to replace David Krejci? Anyone but Coyle and they’d be asking for Sweeney’s head on a platter. A few weeks into the season, and that’s exactly how it will be, unless Sweeney snags some kind of a reasonable replacement.

Oh. And some “voice of reason” suggested in a video, that there simply aren’t any “David Krejcis” out there on the market. Reductio ad absurdum. Obviously the Bruins aren’t going to be able to go out there and find a “David Krejci”. The man is one of the greatest centers in Bruins history. But if the person who said that could point to one person on the Bruins roster who is a legitimate 2nd line center, and I’ll back off.
