The Boston Bruins haven’t been active on the NHL trade market thus far but they’re close to signing forward Taylor Hall to a contract extension.
Speaking of not being active, Bruins GM Don Sweeney admitted Thursday that there hasn’t been any action on the David Krejci and Tuukka Rask fronts.
The NHL released its 2021-22 regular season schedule on Thursday night and the Bruins will kick off their seasons against some familiar faces.
The NHL roster freeze was listed at 1 PM ET on Thursday and by 5 PM ET, there had already been three trades.

TSN Insider Darren Dreger has been all over the Taylor Hall contract discussions and on Thursday he reported that the Bruins and Hall were ironing out the final details of an extension.
Bruins and Taylor Hall are working on the final details of his agreement, including no-trade coverage. When finalized and signed, Hall stays in Boston for 4 years at $6 mil per season.
