Price For A Top 4 D On NHL Trade Market Too High For Bruins? | BHN+

NHL Trade

Are the Boston Bruins out of the NHL Trade sweepstakes for Nashville Predators defenseman Mattias Ekholm?

Comments by Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney Monday and calls to numerous NHL insiders Tuesday didn’t exactly indicate the Bruins have completely stopped their pursuit of the 30-year-old Preds defenseman but it appears the asking price has at least cooled it down. Couple that with the report from Sportsnet NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman Tuesday that the Predators may be having a change of heart and be more willing to trade defenseman Ryan Ellis and it appears, for now, the Bruins are looking elsewhere on the NHL Trade market.
