Finally, growing up, my father made a point to introduce me to my Irish heritage early on, whether through history books, music, or Irish sports. I learned that I had family members in Belfast who suffered greatly from ‘The Troubles’ and that has always held a place in my heart. To see the peace in Northern Ireland now compared to even just the mid-nineties is amazing and I pray it stays. Today though is sadly the 49th Anniversary of ‘Bloody Sunday’
