BHN Puck Links: Can Boston Bruins Sign Hoffman And DeBrusk?

NHL Trade

The Boston Bruins still have some internal and potentially external contract business to attend to. Will the external be signing unrestricted free agent winger Mike Hoffman? What about Jake DeBrusk? Finally, and clearly, the most important question is: Do they bring back the ‘Pooh Bear’ jerseys?

Could The Boston Bruins Sign Mike Hoffman?

With Mike Hoffman’s agent recently saying that his client is willing to take a one-year deal like Taylor Hall did with the Buffalo Sabres, Joe Haggerty says things are lining up perfectly for the Boston Bruins to sign the scoring winger. The question, as Haggerty points out, is will Bruins GM Don Sweeney make the moves necessary to make it happen and stay under the salary cap?

Will Boston Bruins Sign Jake DeBrusk?

Things have been eerily quiet on the Jake DeBrusk contract front. As Joe Haggerty points out, it appears that if and when talks get going again between the DeBrusk camp and Sweeney, DeBrusk won’t be able to command as much as he once thought he could.
