Boston Bruins Open Playoffs On Tuesday Night

Boston Bruins V Carolina Hurricanes

The Boston Bruins will open the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs on Tuesday night when they take on the Carolina Hurricanes. The Bruins finished as the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference thanks to a winless (0-3-0) record in the round-robin stage. The Hurricanes swept the New York Rangers 3-0 in their best-of-five Qualification Round series.

Game 1, a Bruins home game, will take place tomorrow night at 8:00 pm. Game 2 takes place on Thursday night, also at 8:00 pm, while Game 3 will be played at 12:00 pm on Saturday. Meanwhile, Game 4 goes Monday night, August 17th, at 8:00 pm.

Games 5, 6 and 7 do not have have official times. Game 5 would take place on August 19th, while Game 6 would be August 20th. All series will feature one back-to-back set of games.

Game 7 would take place on Sunday, August 23rd. Times for those games will be determined following the completion of Game 4 in all Eastern Conference series.

The Bruins and Hurricanes met last spring in the 2019 Eastern Conference Final. The Bruins swept the Hurricanes in four games en route to their third Conference Championship of the decade. Prior to that, the sides met in the Eastern Conference Semifinals in 2009, a series won by Carolina in seven games.
