The Boston Bruins announced Saturday that they have activated defenseman Connor Clifton from injured reserve and assigned forward Karson Kuhlman to the Providence Bruins (AHL).

Clifton has been out of the Bruins lineup since suffering an upper-body injury in a game against the Buffalo Sabres on December 29. He recently completed a conditioning assignment with Providence and has been practicing with the Bruins. Clifton has two goals and a plus-four rating in 30 games with the Bruins this season.

Kuhlman has one goal and five assists in 25 games with the Bruins this season. He has also played in six games for Providence and has four goals and one assist there.

Clifton will not be in the lineup Saturday night when the Bruins host the Tampa Bay Lightning.
