Bruins Video: Coyle “You Just Have To Stick With It”

The Boston Bruins won their fourth straight game on Tuesday night, knocking off the Vancouver Canucks 4-0 at TD Garden. Although the final score indicates a blowout, the Bruins struggled to find the back of the net most of the night.

Jacob Markstrom made 38 saves on 42 shots in the loss and frustrated the Bruins for long stretches. The veteran Bruins stuck with it, however. Eventually, they pushed through to get the victory. Charlie Coyle finished the night with a goal and an assist, fighting through the frustration of Markstrom’s night.

“You just stay with it,” Coyle told BHN’s Jimmy Murphy postgame when asked how you handle a hot goalie.

“You’ve always got to be playing the right way and feeling good, just if you can’t find that goal…It’s second, third and fourth efforts around the net. Usually its some type of rebound and several hacks at it. The first one was exactly that,” Coyle continued.

“You just have to have that mindset to stick with it, just knowing that your game will pay off when you play the right way.”
