Chicago Blackhawks general manager Stan Bowman and St. Louis Blues general manager Doug Armstrong highlighted a list of 16 scouts total scouting the Boston Bruins-New York Islanders tilt in Boston Thursday night.

Bowman was joined by Blackhawks pro scout Allan Power and Armstrong was sitting alongside Blues Assistant GM Kevin McDonald and team consultant and former Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli who has been a regular at Bruins games this season.

The Buffalo Sabres also had their assistant GM Steve Greeley in the press box for a second straight game and the Ottawa Senators had their Chief Pro Scout Jim Clark watching from above.

The Carolina Hurricanes had two scouts at TD Garden for a second straight game and the Dallas Stars, Minnesota Wild, New York Rangers, Vegas Golden Knights, Vancouver Canucks, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Seattle all had one pro scout each as well.

With 20 years of experience (SiriusXM NHL Network Radio, ESPNBoston, NESN, NHL.com, etc.) covering the Bruins, the NHL, NCAA and junior hockey and more, Jimmy Murphy’s hockey black book is full of Hall of Famers, current players, coaches, management, scouts and a wide array of hockey media personalities that have lived in and around this great game. For 17 of his 20 years as a hockey and sports reporter, Murph covered the Bruins on essentially a daily basis covering their victorious 2011 Stanley Cup run and their 2013 run to the Final as well. Murphy has hosted national and local radio shows and podcasts and also has experience in TV as well.
