Bruins To Participate In 2019 Prospect Challenge In Buffalo

Published

on

Come the fall the Boston Bruins prospects will once again make their way to Buffalo for another edition of the Prospects Challenge. The Bruins prospects will join prospects from the host team the Buffalo Sabres along with prospects from the New Jersey Devils and Pittsburgh Penguins. The 2019 Prospects Challenge will take place from September 6-9 at the HarborCenter in Buffalo, NY.

This will be the fifth straight year the Bruins have participated in the prospects challenge. Last year, the Bruins defeated Pittsburgh by a score of 4-2 and Buffalo by a score of 3-1 but fell to New Jersey by a score of 6-2. The teams will play three games in a round robin type format featuring some of the best prospects from their respective clubs.

While a roster will be announced closer to the start of the challenge, you probably can expect Pavel Shen, who just signed his entry-level deal the other day, and first round draft pick John Beecher to play in the prospects challenge. Those who have participated in the prospects challenge in the past have seen time with the big club at some point during a season. Do not be surprised the same thing happen during the 2019-20 season.

Fans who want to attend the event can buy tickets which are only $10, through the Sabres Box Office at the KeyBank Center, online at Sabres.com.
