BHN Daily Links: Penguins Trade Kessel

Just one more day until NHL Free Agency Frenzy begins but the trade market continued to be active, as the on again, off-again Phil Kessel saga finally come to an end. With the July 1 deadline approaching quickly look for teams to maneuver themselves into position to make splashes when free agency opens. Here’s our own Dan Kignerski on that, as well as all the other big stories around the NHL from the last 24 hours.

After weeks of speculation, the Pittsburgh Penguins traded Phil Kessel, minor league defenceman Dane Birks and a 2021 fourth-round draft pick to Arizona for Alex Galchenyuk and minor league defenceman Pierre-Oliver Joseph. (Pittsburgh Hockey Now)
