BHN Daily Links: Hope For Grzelyck’s Return, Chara Uncertain

The big story, of course, is Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final between the Boston Bruins and St. Louis Blues tonight. All eyes are on Zdeno Chara and his mangled jaw. If Chara can suit up I posit it would be one of the gutsiest moves in Bruins playoff history. If he can’t go there’s still a chance Matt Grzelyck suits up for the Bruins after missing the last two games while undergoing concussion protocol.

Steve Conroy of the Boston Herald writes that Boston could use any good injury news they can get and that, “for a team desperate for any good news on the health front, Grzelcyk’s return would be a strong booster shot.” Read more on the Boston Herald.

As someone who has never suffered a broken jaw, I can’t imagine the pain. Patrice Bergeron praised Chara for his “impressive” pain tolerance and leadership. (NESN)

Jimmy Murphy of Boston Hockey Now reports that Urho Vaakanainen is not likely to play for Boston even though Vaakanainen practiced with the Bruins on Wednesday. (BHN)

NHL Seattle launched a redesigned site on June 5. Brent Stecker took note of an interesting site color scheme on ESPN.

Check out a great story on NHL.com on St. Louis Blues fan Laila Anderson. Tom Gulitti writes, “The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled Wednesday a limited-edition bobblehead of Anderson, an 11-year-old Blues fan with hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis.”

On St. Louis Blues Game Time, there’s a thought the Bruins are worrying too much about the Blues and not enough about their own game.
