Bruins Fan Leanne Baker Quits Job En Route to the Stanley Cup Final
If you think you are the ultimate Bruins’ fan think again. Meet Leanne Baker, who is the ultimate Bruins’ fan living across the pond in Kent, England — part of the United Kingdom. As you can see, she has Black and Gold running through her veins. Her story to the Stanley Cup Final has drawn interest from everyone around the hockey world and is truly remarkable.

Leanne first started to follow the Bruins in the 2014-2015 season after she got in the NFL. Not only is she Bruins fan, but she is a fan of the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, and Boston Celtics.
Why the Bruins? Leanne told me, “They are a great team, play with heart, grit, and determination. Plus Boston is a great city.”
No arguments there.
This is not Leanne’s first time making a trio to Boston. She came to Boston in 2017 and 2018 to see her team play. The trip to the Stanley Cup Final was a spur of the moment, she said, “I booked my flight at the weekend, work said it was a holiday or quit, so I quit.” You can always find another job in life, but how does an opportunity come along to see your favorite team play in the to the Stanley Cup Final. “Life is too short, and I don’t know if I’ll get the opportunity again,” Baker said.
As far as traveling alone for the trip, not too many could take the trip to the Stanley Cup due to work commitments and money.
Leanne hopes to see the same results she saw in 2017 and 2018 when the Bruins won. The Bruins split the two games she saw. The Bruins beat the Islanders but fell to the Red Wings in November in one of the best games she ever saw.
While the Bruins fell short of their ultimate goal to win the Stanley Cup. Leanne is hoping the Bruins can win this time around. “It should definitely be a great series. I would love Bruins in 5, but I think it will be Bruins in 7.”
She joins the consensus here at Boston Hockey Now that believe the Bruins will win the Stanley Cup. But it will not be easy.
If you see Leanne at either Games 1 or 2, say hi, take pictures, and make her feel welcome. She is one of the most dedicated Bruins fans in the world. Here at Boston Hockey Now, we wish her nothing but success in the future and hope you enjoy your time at the Stanley Cup Final and in the city of Boston.
