Patrice Bergeron Bruins

Patrice Bergeron usually has to deal with an opponent’s top talent,  sometimes even through extraordinary injuries. But during the 11-day break between the Eastern Conference Final and the start of the Stanley Cup Final, Bergeron took the ice with someone a little less prone to throw body checks his way.

This postseason Bergeron has eight goals, five assists, two game-winning goals, and 63 shots on net. Boston’s top line of Brad Marchand, David Pastrnak and Bergeron really started to click toward the end of the Eastern Conference Final. Boston will certainly need that top line to continue to be solid against the St. Louis Blues as they have a goaltender in Jordan Binnington who has been excellent over his past three games: 3-0-0, .974 save percentage, one shutout, two goals against.

Well, if the Bruins need some extra pop on that line, I think Bergeron knows who to call.

Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final starts at 8 p.m. Monday.
