Inside The Bruins Locker Room: Pasta Having Fun
The Boston Bruins will take to the ice tomorrow night at TD Garden for…..a scrimmage? Yes, tomorrow night will be a unique night as the B’s will hold an intrasquad to help prepare for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final on Monday night. With over ten days between games, coach Bruce Cassidy is hoping to get the pace back up tomorrow night and get guys back into the zone of approaching a gameday. Will it pay off? We’ll have to wait and see until Monday.
On Wednesday, however, things were normal for the Bruins. The B’s skated at Warrior Ice Arena in Brighton and as per usual they met with the media following practice. Our own Jimmy Murphy was at Warrior today and caught up with David Pastrnak, Charlie Coyle and Matt Grzelcyk ahead of tomorrow scrimmage.
Prior to the postseason, Pastrnak told Murph just how much fun it is at this time of the year. Today, Murph got a chance to follow up on that and asked Pasta how much fun he has had on this run to his first ever Stanley Cup Final.
Hometown boy Charlie Coyle became NHL teammates with Chris Wagner back in February, but it wasn’t the first time that they’ve played together. Coyle talked to Murph about how he’s helping to keep his teammate’s spirits up following an injury last round.
Jordan Binnington has taken the hockey world by storm this postseason, but before he was the hero in St. Louis, he was tending goal in Providence. Matt Grzelcyk gives Murph the book on his former teammate in the AHL.
