The Carolina Hurricanes did not feel good after they ate a ‘poop sandwich‘ Sunday afternoon.
The Boston Bruins dominated Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Final from start to finish. Boston scored the first six goals of the contest before Carolina got on the board with two late third period goals.
Carolina’s two goals came from two mental mistakes from the Bruins. The second of which came when Teuvo Teravainen intercepted a puck from Tuukka Rask. Teravainen deposited the puck into an empty net. That prompted Carolina to take to Twitter as they shared a clip of the goal with a bizarre caption.

Bruins fans immediately responded in typical Boston fashion and trolled the Hurricanes for their odd tweet.
"Our only hope is the other team gifting us goals" Love that energy. Bruins in 4

What energy? Empty net shots that almost was blocked… It was 6-0 at one point, but Yea bring that same energy please

Way to try and swing a 6-2 loss in a positive direction… sad

Sick goal 86. If your team needs to capture energy from an empty net goal you have bigger problems than that slaughter yesterday

The Eastern Conference Final will resume Tuesday night at PNC Arena as Boston and Carolina meet for Game 3. While Boston dominated the first two games, Carolina is the only team left that is unbeaten on home ice in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
