Boston Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy met with the media Monday at Hanscom Air Force Base before he and his team headed south to Raleigh, North Carolina for Games 3 and 4 of the Eastern Conference Final against the Hurricanes. With his team up 2-0 in the series and running on all cylinders, Cassidy wasn’t sure that even if Noel Acciari is cleared to go for Game 3, he would put him into the lineup and take another player out.

“It’s a tough decision but a good decision to have when you’ve got healthy bodies that are capable,” Cassidy said. “He practiced today and he’s getting better. …I’m not going to tell you he’ll be in tomorrow, right now he’ll go through the morning skate; we may leave the lineup alone and give him a little extra time and right now the guys are going well.”

Acciari, who usually slots in on the Bruins energy (or fourth) line, has one goal and one assist in 11 playoff games. The gritty center has not played since Game 4 of the Bruins’ six-game series win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on May 2.
