Halfway through another work week. Lots of exciting playoff races. Here is the top hockey news of the day for Wednesday, March 13th. Today’s stories include History Made in Pittsburgh, Columbus defeats a Top Tier Team, Carey Prices passes Jacque Plante, Johnny Gaudreau’s big night, Arizona owns a playoff spot, San Jose pulls off a late victory, and Nashville misses a chance.

Top Hockey News for Wednesday, March 13th

History was made in Pittsburgh Tuesday night as Evgeni Malkin became the 88th player to record 1000 points.

Malkin was not the only one to make history as Alex Ovechkin recorded his 1200th career point.

Even though Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby are rivals, they have respect for each other as Crosby congratulated Ovechkin on his accomplishment.

After a disappointing night in Long Island, Columbus bounces back with a nice win over Boston.

More history was made on Tuesday as Carey Price set the franchise record in wins for Montreal passing Jacques Plante.

Jersey Boy Johnny Gaudreau records a six-point night for Calgary in a victory over the Devils.

After an embarrassing loss in Chicago the night before, Arizona bounces back with a win to get into a playoff spot.

San Jose extends their winning streak to six games after back to back wins over Minnesota and Winnipeg.

Nashville misses opportunity to pass Winnipeg after falling flat in Anaheim.
